THE LOSS OF A SPOUSE

There are many issues to resolve, from living alone (cooking,
cleaning, etc), to handling financial matters.  It is important
not to make major decisions such as selling the house or
changing jobs until you find yourself having more good days than
bad.

At times you may feel like you never will survive.  You may feel physically sick.  If you do, or have problems such as drinking
too much or loss of appetite, there is no shame in visiting
your doctor.  He/she or your pastor may be able to put you in
touch with a grief support group.  They can be a great help, but
rememberyou can also rely on family, friends and your children.
They, too are mourning and sharing feelings can be helpful.

Everyone grieves in their own way.  All feelings; shock, anger
as well as sorrow are legitimate and must be worked through.
