So you have all this leftover chicken and aren’t sure what to do with it. Well here you have a few quick shredded chicken recipes
that are sure to please. The odds say that when working with shredded
chicken it is usually going to be leftovers. And when working with
leftovers, there isn’t always going to be a defined set amount, that
means you’re going to be eyeballing this recipe. Lucky for us these
recipes are hard to mess up. To make the chicken moist and tender again, you’ll need a good Crockpot recipe. Here you have two popular choices, salsa chicken and BBQ chicken.
Salsa Chicken
Ingredients:
Shredded chicken
One onion
One bell pepper
Jalapenos (optional)
Lime juice (optional)
Tortillas
Salsa
Taco seasoning (optional)
Chop
up the onion and bell pepper. Throw them in the Crockpot. Mince the
jalapenos and throw them in as well if you like. Add the taco seasoning
and some lime juice. Now put the shredded chicken in, throw some salsa
on it and stir it together. Cook on a medium setting for 4-8 hours.
This shredded chicken recipe is perfect for tacos
and will work with most Mexican themed dishes. Take a little bit of the
salsa chicken, put it on a flour tortilla, garnish with shredded cheese
and enjoy.
BBQ Chicken

One onion
BBQ sauce
First
things first, shred the chicken really good. Then we must dice the
onion into very small pieces and throw it in the Crockpot. Add the
chicken and top it with BBQ sauce. Stir it together. On a medium
setting let it cook for at least 2-4 hours. Now all you have to do is
get some biscuits, Kaiser rolls, small dinner rolls or bread. Add a
little cheddar cheese and you have delicious little BBQ chicken sandwiches. As far as quick shredded chicken recipes go these are the best. Hopefully your family enjoys them too.
